Months after sitting quiet, the Philippine Arena is finally going to be used this coming Sunday.

The Details

As originally reported on GMA, the Iglesia Ni Cristo sent out traffic advisories in preparation for their worldwide propagation event on Sunday to be led by Eduardo Manalo himself. Guests from nearby congregations will listen to the lecture on site. Elsewhere, guests will attend the event via video conferencing in any of the 2,900 sites participating worldwide.

The Digest

With all the accusations AE is making on how the Philippine Arena was funded, this is the first time we’re seeing real PR around the use of the Arena. While it’s self-assuring to know it’s being used for religious purposes, something tells us this is the church’s way of reminding everyone that that’s what it was built for.
